FishScore Privacy Policy

AiAngler Tek, Inc. (“AiAngler,” “FishScore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store, and share information when you use the FishScore mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use FishScore and which permissions or features you choose to use.

A. Account and Profile Information

When you create or use a FishScore account, we may collect information such as:

  • Name, display name, or username

  • Email address

  • Account and user identifiers

  • Country or regional information

  • Authentication information provided through supported sign-in services, such as Sign in with Apple or other authentication providers

We do not collect your payment card or bank account information. Purchases and subscriptions made through the iOS App Store are processed by Apple. We may receive information about your subscription, purchase, and entitlement status from Apple and our subscription-management service provider.

B. Fish, Catch, and User-Submitted Content

When you use FishScore, we may collect and store information you submit or generate through the Services, including:

  • Photos or images of fish

  • Fish species information

  • Measurements

  • FishScore values and related analytical results

  • Catch dates and associated catch information

  • Leaderboard and scoring information

  • Profile images or other content you choose to upload

Submitted images may include background objects or people. FishScore does not use submitted images for the purpose of identifying individuals depicted in them.

C. Location Information

With your permission, FishScore may collect precise location information, including GPS coordinates, in connection with a catch or fish submission.

Location information may be used to:

  • Associate a catch with a geographic area

  • Provide regional or location-dependent features

  • Support scoring, leaderboards, and catch records

  • Understand aggregate FishScore usage and catch activity

You control access to location information through your device settings. Certain location-dependent features may be unavailable when location permission is disabled.

We may also process broader geographic information, such as country or general region, for application functionality and analytics.

D. Device, Usage, and Diagnostic Information

We and our service providers may collect information about how FishScore is used and performs, including:

  • User and account identifiers

  • Device or installation identifiers

  • App interactions and usage events

  • Subscription and purchase status

  • Crash information

  • Performance information

  • Diagnostic information

We use this information to operate FishScore, understand feature usage, diagnose problems, improve performance, maintain security, and improve the Services.

FishScore 1.0 does not use this information for cross-app tracking or personalized advertising.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing

FishScore uses artificial intelligence, computer vision, and related automated technologies to provide features such as:

  • Identifying or estimating fish species

  • Estimating fish measurements

  • Analyzing fish characteristics

  • Calculating FishScore values

  • Supporting catch records and related features

Images and associated information may be transmitted to our systems or service providers when necessary to perform these functions.

FishScore does not currently use user-submitted photos or catch data to train artificial intelligence models.

If we materially change how user-submitted content is used for AI training or model development in the future, we will update our disclosures and obtain any consent required before applying that new use.

4. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Provide and operate FishScore

  • Create and maintain user accounts

  • Process fish images and measurements

  • Generate FishScore results

  • Identify fish species

  • Maintain catch histories and records

  • Provide leaderboards and engagement features

  • Manage subscriptions and access to paid features

  • Analyze application usage and performance

  • Diagnose technical issues

  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

  • Communicate with users regarding the Services

  • Respond to support and privacy requests

  • Improve FishScore and its features

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell personal information to data brokers.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services, or as otherwise described below.

A. Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to support functions such as:

  • Authentication and account management

  • Cloud infrastructure and data storage

  • Subscription and entitlement management

  • Analytics

  • Artificial intelligence and image processing

  • Application performance and diagnostics

These providers may process information on our behalf to perform services for FishScore. We require service providers handling user data on our behalf to protect that information appropriately and use it consistently with the services they provide to us.

B. Legal, Safety, and Business Requirements

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of FishScore, AiAngler Tek, our users, or others

  • Detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms

  • Facilitate a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate protections

C. Research and Aggregate Information

We may use or share aggregated or de-identified information for research, fisheries analysis, conservation, product analysis, or similar purposes where the information does not reasonably identify an individual user.

If a future research program requires identifiable personal information or a materially different use of user information, we will provide additional disclosure and obtain consent where required.

6. Advertising and Tracking

FishScore 1.0 does not include third-party advertising and does not use App Tracking Transparency permission to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

If advertising is introduced in a future version of FishScore, this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures will be updated as appropriate before or when that functionality becomes available.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide and maintain the Services

  • Maintain a user's account and catch history

  • Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy

  • Meet legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or operational requirements

Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information through the account-deletion functionality available in FishScore or by contacting support@fishscore.ai.

When an account-deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account except where retention is reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate obligations.

Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups and disaster-recovery systems until those systems are overwritten in the ordinary course of operations.

Information that has been irreversibly aggregated or de-identified so that it no longer reasonably identifies a user may be retained.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, which may include the ability to:

  • Access information associated with your account

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Request deletion of your account and personal information

  • Withdraw or change device permissions, such as location access

  • Request information about how your information is used

  • Exercise other privacy rights available under applicable law

Device permissions can be changed through iOS Settings.

Privacy requests may also be submitted to support@fishscore.ai. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

9. Children’s Privacy

FishScore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information to FishScore may contact support@fishscore.ai.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. International Data Processing

AiAngler Tek, Inc. is based in the United States. Information may be processed or stored in the United States and in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

The countries and regions in which FishScore is offered may change over time.

Where required, we take appropriate measures relating to international transfers and processing of personal information.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

FishScore may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected independently by those third parties.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as FishScore evolves or as legal, technical, or business requirements change.

When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
